ARP Pro Series cylinder head studs are designed for maximum performance and reliability. They are cold-forged to maintain their molecular integrity and are heat-treated before being threaded and machined. Each kit includes hardened parallel washers to ensure even load distribution and accurate torque readings.
ARP uses a premium 8740 alloy that far exceeds aircraft quality standards. Each stud is carefully heat-treated vertically to achieve a tensile strength of 200,000 psi. ARP studs are rolled after heat treatment, resulting in approximately ten times better fatigue strength compared to studs that are threaded beforehand—a common practice in the industry. You won’t find better quality studs anywhere else.
