Description
The MSD-8950 rpm actived switch can be used to activate anything from a bulb, to a shift solenoid, to activating an MSD Timing Control at a desired rpm. The internals of the rpm activated switch are designed to handle up to 1.5-amp load so if you need to control a device that draws a higher amperage than the 1.5-amp limit, it is best to use the MSD-8950 to control a coil side of a higher amperage rated relay and wire the load across the contacts of the relay. The box come prewired with one wire to ground a circuit and a second wire to open a circuit. No rpm modules are supplied with the MSD-8950 box, they must be purchased separately.
